9 Spooky Halloween Costumes For Your Dog

Looking for something spooky to dress your dog up in this year? Well, look no further! We have some great ideas for you. Other than the candy we enjoy, dressing up is half the fun of Halloween. That’s why we decided to come up with a handful of awesome ideas for you.

9 Spooky Halloween Costumes For Your Dog:

  1. Dog Spider: Did you know your dog can make a great spider? Grab some spider legs and attach them to your dog’s back. This makes a quick, easy and spooky costume!
  2. Ghost Dog: It doesn’t get much easier than using a sheet for a spooky Halloween get-up. If your dog shuns being covered in a sheet, get some non-toxic colored hairspray. Paint them with white skeleton lines to make a great ghost dog.
  3. Darth Vader: Tap into your inner geek with a Darth Vader dog. Get them a black helmet and a black cloak and that’s all they need to pull off this terrifyingly awesome character.
  4. Dino Dog: They sell them online, but you could actually make it at home if you were a little crafty.  All you need is a harness, a few extra strands of fabric and some scales (think Stegosaurus) and you have yourself your very own scary Dino Doggy!
  5. Imperial Walker: This one is always a hit because it really makes a great costume on a large thin framed dog. The Imperial Walker is a perfect costume if have a Greyhound or a Weimaraner. Everyone will run from the impending doom of the Imperial Ground Forces.
  6. Count Dogula (Vampire): Nothing is better than a vampire on Halloween. You don’t need much more than a black and red cloak to transform your dog into Count Dogula.
  7. Devil Dog: Grab some red horns and a little pointy tail. If it’s chilly outside put on a little red coat too. Then your usual angel baby easily morphs into a devil for the night.
  8. Evil Clown Dog: Make your dog an “IT” dog with a scary clown costume. A fluffy red wig and a clown shirt are sure to turn heads. Just keep them away from the sewers when you are out trick or treating
  9. The Three Headed Dog: Nod ahead to Greek mythology or your inner muggle and dress your dog up as the mythical Cerberus. You can get the costume online or make it yourself with two stuffed dogs that look like your normally sweet pup. Use them to turn your pup into a three-headed dog.

Dressing up is a lot of fun, but make sure to never leave your dog alone in their costume. They are full of choking hazards and can be dangerous if left unattended. Make sure to watch them for signs of discomfort and distress. After all, it’s supposed to be a night of joy for everyone!
