About us

A Pawnote From Our CEO

1 Woman + 1 Idea = 1 Mission… To keep Miami’s pet’s Happy at Home!

Who are we and how did we begin, you ask? Well, let me tell you.

Many may not know that Miami Pet Concierge was created out of both a labor of love and need.  After years of working in and around the shelter system, I learned that one of the number one reasons pets were being given up or returned was due to “time,” or lack thereof.  It was astonishing to me that a pet parent would willingly hand over their beloved pet than find an alternative to keeping it under their roof.  Excuses ranged from working too late, not being able to get home at lunch, a busy travel schedule, new baby, the list goes on; so with this knowledge, I set out to start a business that would not only help pet parents but also teach pet parents how to be the best they can be.  With just a little guidance, education, and support, we have had the opportunity to work hand and paw with thousands of amazing domesticated animals and their families, both caring for and teaching them how to cohabitate peacefully.

Animals have always been a passion for me. If you were to ask any one of my family members, they would each have a story about how as a child, I wanted to bring home any animal in need, whether a lizard, possum, or dog.  That love swept me off my feet and lead me to create not only the most magical of businesses out there but a career where every day brings laughter, tail wags, and tons of meows.  I pride myself on a dedicated, professional, and loyal staff, who like me, LOVE WHAT THEY DO.  We strive to provide professional and quality care and always have both our client’s pets and our client’s best interest in mind.

Please let me know if there is a service you need that isn’t listed on our service menu that we can help you with, a topic you’d like to learn more about or an issue relating to one of your pets.

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

Since our doors opened in May of 2007, our MISSION has been and will continue to be to provide Miami’s pet parents with customized pet care plans based on their pets’ species, breed, age, health, and pet care education, while in the comfort of their own home.

Bark and meow regards,

Meet Our Pawsome Team

Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a TEAM of people.

Nicole Packin, UW-AAB, CCWT, SAMP

Nicole Packin, UW-AAB, CCWT, SAMP

FOUNDER + CEO

Nicole’s career working with animals began in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from the University of Miami with a double major in English and Communication, Nicole moved to the West Coast to pursue a television career. While working for the William Morris Agency, Spelling Television, and Bruckheimer Television in one hour scripted series, Nicole found an outlet for stress management by volunteering for The Amanda Foundation. This non-profit organization rescued and rehabilitated dogs from the streets of East LA.

Finding her work with dogs a life changer, Nicole moved back to Miami, Florida, intending to learn all that she could about animal welfare in her hometown. Immediately, Nicole began working for the Humane Society of Greater Miami. She was involved in all aspects of the organization’s operations, fundraising and helped lead the capital campaign for the organization’s Soffer-Fine Adoption Center in North Miami Beach, Florida.

In 2007, Miami Pet Concierge was developed and began out of both a labor of love and need. After years of working in and around the animal shelter system, Nicole learned that one of the number one reasons pets were being given up or returned was “time,” or lack thereof.  With this knowledge, Nicole started a business that would help pet parents and teach pet parents how to be the best. With just a little guidance, education, and support, Nicole has had the opportunity to work hand and paw with thousands of amazing domesticated animals and their families, caring for and teaching them how to cohabitate peacefully.

Continued learning is significant to Nicole.  Since MPC’s opening, she has continued to grow and learn as much as she can about animal health and proper pet care.

Nicole’s Certifications:

  • UW-AAB – Certification in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington under the guidance of Dr. James Ha, world-renowned Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist, expert witness, and lecturer.
  • SAMP – Small Animal Massage Practitioner in Maintenance, Performance, and Rehabilitation Massage from the Northwest School of Animal Massage, specializing in Myofascial Release Therapy (MFRT), Trigger Point Therapy (TPT), and Stress Point Therapy (SPT).
  • CCWT – Certified Canine Water Therapist from La Paw Spa – Levels One and Two of Heart of Canine Aquatics Training Programs.
  • Certified Fear Free Professional
  • Certified in Feline Communication from Maddie’s University (Maddie’s Fund).
  • Nicole is currently enrolled in the Certified Canine Fitness Trainer Program (CCFT) at the University of Tennessee, working toward her graduation date of summer 2022.

Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband when not running Miami Pet Concierge, Dallas Pet Concierge, or school. She is the proud momma to Slater (Russian Blue mix), Kevin & Jenny (Italian Spinone’s), and enjoys traveling and making pottery.
