About us

A Pawnote From Our CEO

1 Woman + 1 Idea = 1 Mission… To keep Miami’s pet’s Happy, Healthy, Home!

Who are we and how did we begin you ask? Well, let me tell you…

Many may not know that Miami Pet Concierge was created out of both a labor of love and need.  After years of working in and around the shelter system, I learned that one of the number one reasons pets were being given up or returned was due to “time”, or lack thereof.  It was astonishing to me that a pet parent would rather hand over their beloved pet than find an alternative to keeping it under their roof.  Excuses ranged from working too late, not being able to get home at lunch, a busy travel schedule, new baby… the list goes on; so with this knowledge, I set out to start a business that would not only help pet parents but also teach pet parents how to be the best they can be.  With just a little guidance, education and support, we have had the opportunity to work hand and paw with thousands of amazing domesticated animals and their families both caring for and teaching them how to cohabitate peacefully.

Animals have always been a passion for me. If you were to ask any one of my family members they would each have a story about how as a child I wanted to bring home any animal in need, whether a lizard, possum or dog.  That love swept me off my feet and lead me to create not only the most magical of businesses out there but a career where every day brings laughter, tail wags and tons of meows.  I pride myself on a dedicated, professional and loyal staff, who like me, LOVE WHAT THEY DO.  We strive to provide professional and quality care and always have both our clients pets and our clients best interest in mind.

Please let me know if there is a service you are in need of that isn’t listed in our service menu that we can help you with, a topic you’d like to learn more about or an issue relating to one of your pets that you may need help with or more information regarding.

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

Since our doors opened in May of 2007, our mission has been and will continue to be to provide our clients with a customized pet care plan based on their pet’s breed, age, and health, while in the comfort of their own home.

Bark and meow regards,

Nicole Brown Packin, SAMP, CCWT

Meet Our Pawsome Team

Nicole Brown Packin

Nicole Brown Packin

CEO, SAMP, CCWT

Nicole’s career working with animals began in Los Angeles. After graduating from the University of Miami with a double major in English and Communication, Nicole moved to the west coast to pursue a career in television. While working for the William Morris Agency, Spelling Television, and Bruckheimer Television Nicole craved an outlet for stress management. She began volunteering for The Amanda Foundation, a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates dogs from East LA shelters.

In 2004, Nicole packed her bags and drove across the country back to her hometown of Miami, Florida, intending to learn all that she could about animal welfare. Nicole began working for the Humane Society of Greater Miami, where she was involved in all aspects of the organization’s operations. During her time she helped open the Soffer-Fine Adoption Center in North Miami, Florida. After three years, Nicole decided it was time to go out on her own, and Miami Pet Concierge was the result.

Since MPC’s opening in 2007, Nicole has continued to grow and learn as much as she can about animal welfare. She earned her Small Animal Massage Practitioner (SAMP) Certificate in Maintenance, Performance, and Rehabilitation Massage from Northwest School of Animal Massage. Nicole specializes in Myofascial Release Therapy (MFRT), Trigger Point Therapy (TPT), and Stress Point Therapy (SPT). Nicole trained under Cindy Horsfall of La Paw Spa and was certified in Canine Aquatic Therapy after graduating Levels One and Two of Heart of Canine Aquatics Training Programs. Nicole is the only SAMP in South Florida with these unique set of massage credentials.

Currently, Nicole is working on her Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior at the University of Washington with the expected graduation date of May 2020.

Nicole is married and is the proud momma to Dorothy, a paralyzed Yorkie whom she rescued & rehabilitated from United Yorkie Rescue, Lady, a Beagle, and Moriarty, a Beta fish.

Yvonne

Yvonne

Director of Operations & Dog Training Programs

Yvonne was born in the Bronx and grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Her passion for animals began at a young age, thanks to her
mother, who exposed her to all different types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and more. In high school, Yvonne worked alongside an Old English Sheepdog breeder, where she experienced all aspects of dog rearing.

Yvonne graduated from Boston University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Yvonne worked for the University of Miami’s Sylvester Cancer Center for over eight years as their Senior Manager of Finance before changing careers to work with domesticated pets.

In her spare time, Yvonne loves to read, go to the movies, hang out with friends and family, be by the ocean, and, most of all, spend time with her “fur-kids.” She is currently mom to Max, a Sheltie mix, and Henry, a Muppet dog – both rescued from MDAS and two cats, Sophie and Sebastian.

Bailey aka The Bug

Bailey aka The Bug

CCO (Chief Canine Officer)

Bailey was born in Hollywood, Florida and raised in Miami where she is the queen of her castle.  This spunky, hilarious, confident, and outspoken little girl has become a fixture of the Miami Pet Concierge family.  Most days, you will find her overseeing our office staff or dreaming about playdates, and Dog Park visits when boarding with us.  Bailey enjoys making new friends, singing the song of her people, spa days with Best in Show Pet Spa, running as fast as she can through tall grass and barking at the mailman.

Because of her sense of humor, ability to be a team leader, passion for shredding paper, and toy box clean up skills, Bailey became our CCO. She is a master problem solver and shows initiative when faced with adversity and brings lots of entertainment to the MPC Family.

On her days off, Bailey enjoys long walks, squeaky toys, cuddling, talking back to herself in the mirror, and making a complete mess of herself when she eats.
